• Tonight at 7 p.m. is the holiday lighting of The Big Duck in Flanders. Get there early if you want to find a parking spot for this event that brings out the whole community, promising caroling, warm refreshments and Santa's arrival courtesy of the Flanders Fire Department. Find Out More.
• Tomorrow evening at 5 p.m. is the Cold Supermoon Hike in Bridgehampton's Vineyard Field with the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt. This moon is also called the Long Night Moon, as the winter nights lengthen and the moon spends more time above the horizon opposite a low sun. Find Out More.
• ReWild Long Island's North Fork Chapter is reminding the public that Deep Roots Farm at 57685 Main Road in Southold is still accepting unwanted pumpkins and other winter squash, which it will use to feed the pigs and the soil.
