• We're expecting mostly sunny skies today, with a high temperature near 79 degrees and a northeast wind around 7 miles per hour. It will be mostly clear overnight, with a low around 67. Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny, with highs in the mid-80s.

• The Riverhead Town Board is holding a special meeting this evening at 6 p.m. to hold a "Qualified & Eligible Hearing" to examine the qualifications of its chosen developer for its Town Square project, J. Petrocelli Contracting. Here's More Info.

• The Peconic Estuary Partnership holds the second of two community meetings this week to hear perspectives from the public about the future of the estuary this evening at 6 p.m. at the Peconic Baykeeper's Office at 167 Red Creek Road in Hampton Bays. Here's More Info.

• The Southold Town Board will discuss coastal resiliency and the raising of Route 48, proposed changes to the town's Wetlands code and next steps on the town's Zoning Update and cell service planning at its 9 a.m. work session this morning. The board will dedicate Town Beach in Greenport to Lt. George R. Sullivan at 4 p.m., followed by a 4:30 regular meeting, at which public hearings will continue on irrigation and political signs. • The Southampton Town Board is slated to vote on a local law to protect trees at its 6 p.m. regular meeting this evening. Here's the agenda, and the meeting can be viewed live on Sea-TV's YouTube channel.

• The Kalmar Nyckel, also known as The Tall Ship of Delaware, arrives today at Greenport's Railroad Dock, where it will be hosting 2.5 hour sails and free deck tours through Aug. 3. Find Out More.
