Caravan of Empathy, Hampton Bays talks with Supervisor, 'Bonnie & Clyde' and a Clothing Swap for NFEC

Good Morning!
• Today will be sunny, with a high temperature near 94 degrees but heat index values as high as 101, with a calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 miles per hour in the morning. It will be mostly clear overnight, with a low around 76. Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 91 and heat index values as high as 98. A Heat Advisory is in effect through tomorrow at 8 p.m., and an Air Quality Alert is in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today. There's a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 83 degrees.
• As federal immigration agents have become a regular presence on the streets of Long Island, quietly taking residents from their homes and workplaces without informing local law enforcement, many of us have become hardened to the plight of people who are vulnerable to deportation. But a Caravan of Empathy, organized by Rural & Migrant Ministry, is coming through the East End on Aug. 2, challenging those who might rather look away. Read More.
• The Hampton Bays Civic Association will hold its monthly meeting this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Senior Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave., Hampton Bays. The group's guest speaker will be Southampton Town Supervisor Maria Moore, who will give her semiannual update on issues affecting Hampton Bays and the Town of Southampton and will take questions from the audience. Town Council member Rick Martel will also be in attendance.
• Iris Ornig of East End Jazz brings New Orleans jazz to the East Quogue Summer Concert Series on the Green this evening at 7 p.m. Find Out More.
• "Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical," the final production of the theater's summer season, opens this evening at 7 p.m. at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. This musical re-telling of a classic American story runs through Aug. 24. Find Out More.
