• We're expecting cloudy skies today, with a high of 67 degrees and a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a northeast wind around 14 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 24 mph. • The Surfrider Foundation Eastern Long Island Chapter is inviting the community to its 23rd Annual Surf Movie Night on Friday, Sept. 12 at the Southampton Arts Center. This tradition is the chapter’s biggest annual fundraiser and features local vendors, a silent auction, opportunity drawings, live music, and a series of short films inspired by the ocean. • The East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation's annual Land & Sea Gala will return on Friday, Sept. 12 at Safe Harbor Marina in Greenport. This year’s theme is "Under the Sea," and costume plans are underway among attendees! "We’re inviting guests to dive into the fun while helping to preserve the history and culture of the East End," says Museum Board Chair Sarah Mills Sands. • As part of Peconic Landing’s efforts to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's Disease support and research, it will hold the second annual Pickleball Tournament to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, Sept. 13 starting at 8:30 a.m. The doubles tournament will take place at Tasker Park in Peconic and is open to both beginners and advanced level players. All players must register by today, Wednesday, Sept. 10. The cost of entry is $60 per team of two, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. Players and spectators are encouraged to wear purple to support the cause. Here's How to Register.
• The Greater Westhampton Suffolk Alliance of Pollinators and ReWild North Fork both host native and pollinator garden and meadow tours this Saturday. The Greater Westhampton SAP tour will be held in the Quogue/Westhampton Area. Check in is at the Quogue Library lawn starting at 9 a.m. to receive the tour locations. Find Out More.
