• We're expecting patchy fog before 7 a.m. today, with otherwise sunny skies and a high temperature near 80 degrees, with a northwest wind 5 to 7 miles per hour. • This coming weekend is the opening of East End Arts' first-ever exhibition of the innovative world of fiber arts, "Entangled," at its 11 West Gallery, leading an explosion of innovative programming as the arts organization settles into its new temporary home in Riverhead. Read More.

• The Bridgehampton School at 2685 Montauk Highway hosts a New York Blood Center blood drive today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can also be made online here.

• Saturday, Sept. 20 is International Coastal Cleanup Day, and throughout the East End, environmental groups are pitching in to protect the shorelines of the place we call home. Find Out More.

• North Fork Flower Farm owner Drianne Benner will share Autumn Planting Tips for Success in a program sponsored by the Peconic Land Trust this afternoon at 2 p.m. Find Out More.

• Shelter Island Friends of Music hosts a performance by the Rhythm Future Quartet on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Shelter Island Presbyterian Church. The group will perform an arresting blend of Hot Club of France styled swing jazz, Brazilian and Eastern European idioms, and original compositions with hints of classical music. Find Out More.

• This weekend's Sundays at Two with the Long Pond Greenbelt is a discussion of “Bats on the Beach, Bay & Beyond" with researcher Delaney Constante, who uses passive acoustic monitoring to better understand where bats are spending their time. Find Out More.
